Global X Debuts Small Cap Miners ETF
September 7, 2012

The Global X Junior Miners ETF (NYSEARCA:JUNR) made its debut this week.

The new fund focuses on junior or small mining companies globally. In additional to owning precious metals mining stocks, JUNR also includes companies involved in the production of coal, copper, gold, iron, nickel, silver, titanium and other materials.

"We see value in junior miners at current valuations, particularly in an environment that could bring significant inflation over the next few years following massive quantitative easing globally," said Bruno del Ama, CEO of Global X Funds.

Since the beginning of the year, small cap miners (NYSEARCA:GDXJ) have declined around 4.5% while physical precious metals like gold and silver (NYSEARCA:GLTR) has increased by 13.95%.

JUNR contains 96 stocks and is linked to the Solactive Global Junior Miners Index.

The fundís annual expense ratio is 0.69%.
